Complain about Trubine

Hi,

I would like to post you a complain message that a friend sent me last night. I think its time to wake up people in turbine and MS to solve these situation, this getting annoying. If they can’t handle these kind of situations they better hire some proffesionals to do this or everyone will give up playing this game sooner or later. This is more important then doing (maybe can’t doing , probably will be a rollback again) some Valentine’s Day event. If you cant play it, whats the meaning of any event.

To whom it may concern,

I think you guys need to take severe steps to stop having server downs, hacks and rollbacks in Asheron’s Call online game. More important than this is that it needs to be better help, especially after such incidents listed above to online players. Even a simple answer to questions really helps, if not doesnt worsen the look to the producer/developer company of the game. Here is what happened to me and caused what i said above.

I am an AC player from Turkey for about a year. I love the game that is for sure but today (December 28, 2001 Sunday; all time is expressed as Turkish time: GMT +2) i experienced a problem and coulndt get any help nor reply from your “Urgent Help” channel. While i was playing the game around 1:00 pm today i got booted from the game and couldnt get back in for about couple hours. By the time i got booted i was playing at Obsidian Plains BSD dungeon and had no vitae no any corpses on the ground. After the server down was fixed i was able to logged on to the game again (server Leafcull, character name is Zulfikar, account name is RaHero). When i logged i noticed that i had 5 vitae pts nad had some items left in my corpse supposedly located in BSD. I went back to the dungeon and look for my corpse but couldnt find it anywhere. I asked “Urgent Help” from the ingame menu from you guys explaining the whole situation but there was no response at all to me about my problem. I asked around if there were other players happened the same thing and some people said they had the same thing happened to them. Neither me nor anybody i talked didint know for sure if the corpses would be lost during the fixement of the problem. Even if the corpses would be lost, by the time i got booted from the game i had no corpses left on the ground and no vitae points. I was at almost full health and considerable at a safe situation at the very end of the BSD. SO i shoulndt have had any corpse when i got logged in again.

To me, this whole situation can be handled because this is just a game and if i lose some items it is not the end of the world. Eventhough i wrote and asked help from anyone in the game, i didnt get ANY response; that was incredible to me. You can say that it was late at night in the States so there may not be any sysop to help me but then i would say if the game is open to everyone 24 hours then there should be 24 hours of help to everyone asking for it. People need help more badly than ever in such situations. When i asked for help it was as if i was talking to myself, nothing more. A world wide known company should have better helping system, especially if players are paying monthly to the company to play the game. To me that is a breach of the service by producer/developer company. They couldnt fulfill their help service duty. There was no information on what happened to servers, what will happen to corpses and how weird situations like mine will be handled.

Now, what i want is at least some explanation of the situation. If your primary aim is have players happily playing the game then i think you owe me one. If not then i shall know what is your primary concern about players and the game and how you would do this. Second, i think it is not my fault nor anything close to it to lose a corpse in the game, i want all my items lost back (6 mastery robes and 1 Staff of Nomads). I could have had lost a rare item (like a Horary Mattekar Robe that is worth 150-200 Dollars in real life) and after this situation it would be gone and this wouldnt be very good. Therefore i need compensation of my items for this situation.

I am sure there are other people in the game in my situation and i will be in touch with them. So you (either you or related department/person) need to do something about this. Not to mention, this kind of problems started to happen frequently lately..
